What Students Learn
First Strike’s 2-day Basic Defensive Tactics & Control Techniques Course provides participants with intensive, reality based, hands-on-training designed to prepare them to effectively handle all levels of resistance that can be used if attacked while serving in the line of duty, or in a security position. This course is open to both professionals and the general public.

Standards
This course exceeds most state law enforcement and security training regulatory body requirements, and departmental requirements for basic defensive tactics training.
Prerequisites
None. Entry level.

First Strike’s 2-day Team Based Arrest & Control Techniques Course provides participants with intensive, reality based, hands-on-training designed to prepare teams of two or more officers to effectively handle all levels of resistance that can be used if attacked while serving in the line of duty, or in a security position. It is specifically designed to induce stress and put officers in situations that force them to consider the Use of Force Continuum, and will teach them how to reduce the risk of having to use deadly force, even in the face of significant risk. This course is open to both professionals and the general public.
