JOBS AND INTERNSHIPS

Thanks for looking at our current  job and work-exchange Internship listings. We will update these periodically, so please do visit often if you don’t see something that matches your goals right now. You are welcome to submit your resume (using the form at the bottom of this page), and we will evaluate it against current and future openings.

INTRODUCTION

For more than 30-years, First Strike has provided the highest quality risk mitigation and safety education to both the general public and those who work in public safety related professions. Our programs are current, evidence-based, peer-reviewed and accepted worldwide.

We're looking for the best candidates.

We’re looking for the best candidates. Not just good candidates, but the best. People who really outshine the rank and file in the scuba diving industry. Hell, in any industry for that matter. Real out of the box thinkers. People who are driven, motivated, responsible, dedicated, and love security related fields. People who have integrity beyond reproach. Some of the character traits we look for are:

Honesty.

Integrity Beyond Reproach.

Communication Skills.

Technical Competency.

A Damn-Good Work Ethic.

Flexibility.

Determination and Persistence.

Ability to Work in Harmony with Co-Workers.

Eager and Willing to Add to Their Knowledge Base and Skills.

Our organization is driven by the Six Pillars of Character, and all volunteers, interns, contractors, and employees are held to the highest possible standards—without exception of any kind. These, along with solid core competencies, real world skills, and culture fit are the most important to us when we look at your resume. Being skilled, well, that’s average. That’s common. There are millions of veterans who can use firearms, for example. And the fact is, anyone can take a course and work in a variety of areas of security and related fields. Anyone with some time, money, and a little effort can become a professional. Consider some of the contractors teaching police in Iraq during OEF; there were people who had nothing more than loss prevention experience at Target, and there they were working as security contractors in a war zone. We want people who light up the room when they walk in, who are humble, affable, respectful, PROFESSIONAL, and ready to work. Who are competent and educated. Ready to make an impact. To succeed. To empower others. If that sounds like you, get in touch.

Benefits of working with us.

An Exchange in Abundance

In addition to proper financial compensation for your work (something terribly lacking in the scuba industry sadly), we also strive to create a win-win environment that will allow you to grow as a person. We’re all about success. Yours, ours, our students’ and our client’s success. Everyone we come across, we want to empower. Life is short, so we don’t just talk about it—we live it, breathe it, and dive it. Some of the benefits you may receive are:

Proper Financial Compensation

Accommodation in Some Locations

Discount on Professional Gear

Discount on Professional Courses

Paid Vacation and Holidays

Position Related Training

Uniform Provided

Equipment Provided

Professional Insurance

Organizational Trips
